hi im looking for surround sound speakers
that will sound good for movies and music.
as most surround speakers sound good with movies
but suck with music. im looking for somthing
that can give me the best of both worlds
as both are important to me.. front mains must
be full towers. and the rest is fair game.
here are some of my picks.. so you can get in idea of my style and sound preference. so you
can help me better.
Fluance Surround Sound Home Theater 5 Speaker
System AV-HTB
Fluance SX-HTB+ 5 Speaker Surround Sound

INFINITY PRIMUS was my first choice but then
when I heard them they sucked. but thats what
i want my setup to look like !http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_10_4/infinity-primus-speakers-10-2003.html
Polk Audio Monitor 70 the whole series they were
the closest to what i wanted in sound.

Paradigm Monitor 11 series. very very, nice.

anyway you now got and idea now. so please help me pick some nice speakers best bang for the buck they must sound nice.
thank you.

I have an Onkyo Receiver (SR502) and use Mirage OMNI 60's as fronts and I really like the way these speakers sound with my receiver. I do about 5?50 movies and music and they handle both well (in my opnion of course).

Mirage makes a line of satellite speakers that make excellent surrounds (OMNI sat series) and the website has several suggested speakers packages. Some built exclusively off of the satellites and others with book shelves and/or floorstanders built in.

The OMNI series speakers have a different configuration of the drivers that make them excellent for immersing yourself in what you hear.

ok guys it boils down to this i heard the polk monitor 70
series the surround package for $1,679.72
freq-30hz-25hz 90db 275watts ea. specs are for the front main.this set was on display at circut city with the amp i have now Onkyo-TX-SR702. and man they sound sick !
and the second choice is the paradigm monitor 11 series
front: monitor 11 /center: cc-370 rears: adp-370
powered sub: pw-2200 price for whole set $3136

polks were good for the price.
best bang for the buck so far i cant find anything
close to that model for that price period.

second the paradigm almost identical as polk but with a price of 3,136 ouch! out of my budget but i would buy them in a heart beat much cleaner and less brightness on the highs. now my final qustion is should i get the polk or save
and buy the paradigm one peace at a time ?
