Could older recordings on CD cause problems?

I am curious if an older recording that has been recorded to CD format could give the illusion of a speaker problem.

When listening to older music in the "Swing" and "Jazz" genres my B&W DM 303s are giving off a sort of static. This is usually noticable when there is a high in the track being played.

When listening to other recordings I don't seem to have a problem whis this.

Maybe I have damaged my speakers?

I certainly doubt that. But, some older CD recordings are taken off older analogue sources and sometimes these sources have the inherent hiss and pop. I have CDs like that, taken from older analogue source back in the 80's, it wasn't really much better than the vinyl i used to own but the convenience and the wow factor was cool.
cheers
