Wireless speaker question.

So, I won a 900 megahertz wireless Advent speaker from a raffle we had at work, only to get it home to find out that it did not include the 900mhz transmitter. I called up Advents customer service only to find out that they didnt make the speaker anymore so, buying the transmitter was out of the question.
Is there any kind of stand alone transmitter that I can buy that will work?

It is unlikely. While the speakers are "900mHz", the actual frequency has to vary slightly around that 900mHz center. Each transmitter operates on an assigned frequency that enables it to talk only to its own partner and (hopefully) not interfere with other electronics operating near the same frequency.

To find a transmitter that would work with the Advents would require knowing the specific transmission frequency of the Advents and then finding another transmitter at that exact same frequency. Not an easy task.

In all likelyhood you would have been disappointed in its performance anyhow. I mean the major problem with these wireless speakers is the lack of power they need to pump sound.
