I cant help but laugh and wonder if this thing is for real or if he just glued some felt around his hot water heater.
He claims it was built by HSU for a product show and was sold afterwords. Further reading through the link.

"Sonotube" subwoofers have been around for years.

It's the configuration that made SVS famous.

i knew sonotubes are somewhat popular, but ive never seen anything close to this size. it makes that floorstander look like a typical surround speaker.

Is he humping the speaker or trying to lift it? I really can't tell..

The guys description is too funny.

"I will not ship it. This sucker is the size of a warhead, and shipping costs hundreds."

Interesting that the seller has personified this piece of equipment, as one would a ship.
Referred to as 'He', indicates an impression of male bonding, as opposed to the female vernicular usually applied to a vessel, deemed to be beautiful, or invaluable.
The parting of this man and his err 'friend' may represent a positive for the guy.
My guess is that a 'she' was involved, again, a positive sign.

Who wants the friggin thing now?

The guy refers to the sub as 'he', yet he humps it...
He also states that every guy who walks in "usually go "mount" it like a dog to a fire hydrant."

Who really wants the friggin thing now? Not the best sales pitch I've come across...

Seems to have issues there.
Now what will the 'boys' hump?

I am the gentleman selling Thor. The pic of my friend Pat "humping" Thor was placed there for humor, as well as to show just how large Thor really is, all "who wants it now" jokes aside.

He is fully legitimate, confirmed by Dr. Hsu of Hsu research himself.

His auction ends in less than 24 hours, so if you are interested, you must act fast as there are already bidders.

Best regards to all.

Here is his current link:

I would not doubt the authenticity of the item, DiMora.
Nor would I doubt the interest of someone, somewhere to own such a rare commodity.

Its just so much fodder for jokes in so little space, I hope you understand.
