Need Help with my 5.1

My surround sound keeps on having a rather loud humming noise, and I don't know how to fix it. I have unplugged everything, and tried to plug it into another mains power socket to see if that was the problem. Someone please help me!

Where is the humming coming from?

Main Speakers only?

All Speakers?

Another location?

The humming is coming from every single speaker.

If there is a subwoofer in the system, unplug the subwoofer from the AC outlet.

Did this problem just start? Did anything change in the system before the hum started?

maybe the power cords are too close to interconnects...

It does have a subwoofer, and I have to have it plugged into the mains power because that power gets passed onto the decoder. I personally think it needs earthing, so I'm going to drill through it and put some copper wires around the power section, and wrap the other end around the radiator.

The radiator is not a ground. And that's only one fault in your plan.
