hi i have had this unit for a while now, had no problems with the unit itself but do not like the on/off issue... have any of you had luck using a romote to power the unit on and off... i have a denon rc939 remote, can operate unit but not turn it on or off.. also have a toshiba ct90164 remote and same thing.. if nothing works is it ok to use the plug in on the back of my denon reciever to power this up... i can not use this unit without my reciever anyway. but dont want to run into a power problem, any advice is greatly appreciated. thanx jake

No, I have been using this model for a over a year and have been using the front-panel switch. I have not tried plugging it into the switched outlet, so I would not want to comment one way or another. Might work..... might cause damage. I dunno. I pretty sure no remote will work because the power switching is via a mechanical switch... no FET switch, so no way to switch it remotely.
