I recently ordered a Denon 2106 receiver for some audio equipment, but now I'm having doubts that it may not be powerful enough to power what I have. I'm new to audio equipment so I don't know how powerful a receiver I need to get to power speakers with a high RMS. Please help if you can. The specs. on the Denon 2106 is 100 watts per channel and here is the equipment I'm using:

-2 JBL E90 Tower Speakers, says the RMS is 225W
-1 JBL EC35 Center Channel Speaker, not sure what the RMS is
-1 JBL E250P 12" Subwoofer, not sure about wattage
-4 JBL HTI6C In-Ceiling Speakers 100w max power

Thanks for the help guys

100 watts of Denon receiver power should be enough for the equipment you presently own.

Denon's ratings are quite honest. I have the 2105 powering up Klipsch Reference series speakers and could not be happier. The 2106 is the new incarnation of that level of Denon receiver.

You'll be fine with the 2105.
