Hey all
i have a piece sony sawm500 sub that i got about 3 months ago and am looking for a new sub. This one is already blown and was looking at a velodyne dps 12. I found one for about 360 dollars, but was looking at what other people would spend thier hard earned dollars on. i was looking at a velodyne dls 3500r but don't really know much about it. Any advice/suggestions would be very helpfull thanks.

Try looking at HSU at www.hsuresearch.com or SVS and www.svsubwoofers.com.

I'd get the Hsu STF-2 in that price category, $400 new or $320 refurb from them direct. Outstanding value!

does the digital whatever in the velodyne make it any better than a hsu sub that doesn't have that fancy crap? all im interested is something that will give me pure bass and shake the crap outta me. so if the HSU will do it better than the velodyne dps12 even though the hsu doens't have that digital crap, then i'm def goin for the hsu.

ok, so i have it down to the velodyne dps12 and the hsu stf2. both are 200 watts rms, and the velodyne has a 12 inch woofer compared to the 10 incher on the hsu. so what makes the hsu a better buy than the velodyne? keep in mind that i can get the velodyne for about 20 bucks more than i can get the hsu.

btw, is there a chance i can listen to the hsu at all? any retailers out there?
