Hello, I was wandering if you guys could give me some suggestions for a good 6.1 receiver in the $200-400 range. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

panasonic sa-xr55, $230 shipped from Amazon.com or $250 from your local Circuit City. See the long thread on it here.

Onkyo TX-SR602 for $404.00 shipped from Crutchfield isn't a bad choice either..

HK 335 about $20 bucks more than the Onkyo, quite powerful, will drive 4Ohm speakers, dead silent with analog and digital inputs,no hum or hiss, not 6.1 but 7.1!

Yeah, personally I'd take the HK over the Onkyo any day, I had the Onkyo 601 for a couple of weeks and returned it. Great ease of use but lackluster sound for music.

what speakers were you pushing Edster? I was seriously considering the Panny before the ONK.
