For your budget, the Velodyne DLS-3750 or the HSU STF-1. For the money I'll get the HSU, nicely received reputation for good tight bass.
You can hook it up by using the subwoofer output in the back of your Sony System and hooking it up to the high level input of the subwoofer.
Don't you like the subwoofer that came with your Sony?
Thanks for the compliment but I am only one of the many that contribute their opinion to this forum. What we say are usually just that, you have to experience for yourself and decide what sounds good to you.
