I have a JVC Ultra Compact Component System FS-5000. IT tells me about a built-in timer. Is this an alarm clock, and if it is, how do I program it to play music at a time I want to be woken up?

If I remember correctly there is a snooze button towards the front top of the unit. By pressing that button it should flash "Timer On" followed by the currently set on time. Change the time using the track forward/back buttons. Press the snooze button again. It will then ask for time off, source, and volume setting. Each time follow the process like for Timer On. A little clock icon will then appear in the upper right portion of the display.
