i have a set of sony speakers stripped from my car and i was wonder how to go about hooking them up to my computer. what would i need to plug the + and - wires into my soundcard (headphone jack)? do they make a converter or something?
if i had the money to buy a decent set of computer speakers i would, but my funds are a little low at the moment...and i can't see any sense in wasting my old speakers.
You're going to need an amplifier. Do a search for "Sonic Impact T-amp". They're around $30 and you'll need an AC adapter which is about $20. You should build some boxes to put the drivers into and you'll need some binding posts to connect the speaker wires to. I can't give you any more specifics without knowing more about the drivers.
