I have an old parasound dr 40 that has 2 audio channels. With 2 speakers should I connect one to each channel or should I connect both speakers to same channel? thanks for the help.

You've got to be kidding. I'd check with Andy Summers on this one.

What???? Why would you do that? If you did that, would you just listen to 1 speaker??

Norm: connect only one speaker to each channel,if you connect both speakers to one channel you will need to send it in for repair because you will have fried the speaker output.

Thanks Eric, I guess I asked a pretty dumb question but then why would I have 2 rows of terminals with 4 connections per row. What are the other 2 terminals (+/-) per row for?

It's OK Norm glad to help. So the amp has terminals for 8 speaker outputs?

hi Eric, it has terminals for 4 speakers. Top row is called spkr A and bottom row is called spkr B. Spkr A has 2 sets of plus and minus connections as does spkr B.

Ok then Norm you should be able to connect 4 speakers total, 2 to speaker A and 2 to speaker B and switch between them.
