I've gotten conflicting information on the following:

Do you wire the main floor speakers through the sub woofer then to the receiver?

or

Do you wire the main floor speakers direct to the receiver and the sub woofer direct to the receiver?

Thanks for any help.

If the bass management on the receiver is adequate (e.g. good control over cut-off frequency), I'd go via the receiver.

Hi guys, I just bought a 2003 Sunfire and I want to put subs in it. I saw where someone used one 15" where the spare tire goes and it looked really nice while still leaving a trunk. (no Idea how it sounded) I have 2 Soundstream dual voice coil 12's now which have jared my teeth for years in a 91 firebird with rear fireing box. I Don't think I can use these in this car. Was thinking about using one 15" like I mentioned above. I have a PPI PC2600 driving them (or it) Any suggestions as to what way I should go with this limited space? Should I just use one 12?

You should start your own thread in the car audio subwoofer section of the forum. This is home audio... You'll get more answers.
