I have a Yamaha RX-V470 and it just will not stay on. I turn it on and it instantly shuts right back off. I need to know what this could be because it is very frustrating. A friend told me it ould be a relay ?? I have 2 Sony Bookself speakers hooked up and thats it each 100 watts, so i dont think it is my speakers. Thanks to anyone who helps me with this.
It could be going into protection mode. Check your speaker and other connections for a stray wire that might be shorting the circuit. If it is switching itself off right away and not getting a chance to overheat, that's the only cause I can think of other than some internal problem which you may have to get repaired.
