i know this question has been asked like a million times through out this forum but i can't seem to find any of the posts that answer my question. if i want to connect my computer to a HT reciever and get surround sound benifits, what sound card would be best for this? i would think i have to use either a fiber optic or a SPDIF connection. i have a sound blaster audigy2 NX. is there a way that i could use this card and tweek with the software? sorry that this is a repeat of a question that i am certain has been asnwered previously.

I have an Asus A7NX-Deluxe.Motherboard. IT has a Digial Coaxial out on the board. If you don't wana a new motherboard, i've seen kits you can add that had optical and coaxial outputs on them.
I'll try to find them and post a link later. What motherboard do you have?
