I have just hooked up my VCR which is a Panasonic, DVD & VCR alltogether, to a Toshiba 46"TV. Everytime I turn the VCR on, the volume goes up beyond my want, and the volume on the TV will not work. How can I fix this? Please give me a hand

Go to the menu of the vcr and check for a switch called "fixed or variable" volume control. Its not typical on a VCR, but check that first. You may want to go to the TV menu and do the same.
