NAD 742 - Sub-woofer on DSP modes

Hi
I have had a T742 for sometime now and am truly enjoying the stellar audio quality.

One issue I did not notice earlier is that my Sub is not kicking in when the receiver is in the DSP surround modes - Prologic I, II etc...
Since my fronts are full range large speakers (Lithos - India) I was getting enough bass out of them so didnt really perceive the difference

The sub works fine in Stereo and Enhanced stereo modes as well as when playing back Dolby Digital or DTS encoded material.

Could this be a setting issue on the receiver?
Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks

Hi,

I have the T773 with Snell speakers and have the same performance you just wrote. The reason is that the front speakers are large and deliver the bass. I have talked with my delear and he told me the same thing. If you will check the NAD setup, you will see that there is no need to have the bass from the SW with large front speakers.

Hope tha this help, thanks, Daniel
