E.M.I. Speakers Made in England Need help look

EMI still exist as a record company, though I don't think they have made any consumer electronics in the last few years.

A quick internet search reveals that the ones you have, DSL 529 'Ditton' was introduced in 1962.

The first B&W speakers, made in 1967, incorporated an EMI bass unit similar to the one shown.

The EMI bass unit was very popular with UK students during the sixties and seventies. Most student flats had them. I don't mean loudspeakers which used the unit - just the actual bass units propped up against a wall and wired up to a Garrard SP25 record deck.

I don't know anything useful about the speakers though. :-)
