Posted on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 - 01:02 GMT An active X-over utilizes electronic circuitry activated by a (typically) AC voltage to accomplish the division of frequencies. Passive X-overs have no outside voltage applied to the components of the X-over, and, therefore, have only the voltage of the incoming signal present at the input of the network. Active X-overs can offer more precision and control of the actual function of the X-over. Amplifiers do not have X-overs.

Posted on Monday, February 07, 2005 - 02:21 GMT You can have the phase shift problem with de active x-overs while the passive don't have this delay problem... |
