Why the hell are L5's gettin so cheap in crutchfield?:flaws?

I want to get a new system in my car with some Kicker 12" L5 Solo Barics, but I am hasty because of the recent price plummet, should I still go with the Monsters? If so what amp is most reccomended for under 800$?
