Are the new PSB Images comparable in sound quality to the Monitors or Studios? Price seems more in line with monitors, but seems a lot compare them to the Studios.
I have an old pair of PSB 500's and I still have and like them. These are 2 way bookshelf speakers w/ an 8" driver that i paid $500 for in the early 90's. I dont know much about them now, but back then I listened to their stratus line stuff and it was very nice. The store I auditioned these the same store also carried KEF's. To me they were pretty similar, but the PSB's were warmer. I have read they still make nice stuff, but I cant tell you from experience. I would just listen to both and decide which you like best -- i know its hard when they arent in the same store, but you should get a good idea of them. I do think PSB makes a quality speaker, on par w/ Paradigm, its just a matter of which one you like better.
