Hi, I have Infinity Kappa 9 speakers (very low impedance and power hungry) and the following amps: 1) Presently using the NAD 2600 Power enveloppe 2) Marantz PM95. Lovely piece but the surge protection goes on when using these speakers (I hope I did not hirt them).
Now would it be possible and worth doing the following: Connect the CD player into the MArantz, use the preamp stage to divert two signals one to the PM95's power stage and one to the NAD2600.
The idea would be to biwire the speakers, namely using the NAD to drive the bass and the Marantz to drive the medium and tweaters.
