I have a Pioner CD/tuner system which has speaker wire connections and RCA connection for auxiliary out. The wireless receiver has RCA and headphone jack. If I use aux out to transmitter I cannot adjust volume, bass or treble, volume is only adjused on receiving speakers. I am thinking that I could connect the transmitter with speaker wire stripped on one end and RCA on the other, but a guy at Radio Shack said I would damage the transmitter as too much power would come from the system.
Can anyone tell me if this is true or if there is a way to make a safe connection.
