I just bought 2 12" MTX Thunder 8000 subs and i was wondering what would be a good amp for them. They max at 800 watts each, RMS is 400 watts each, and they are 4 ohms. Any input would be appreciated.
If you go ported, the Kicker KX600.1 would be great because they are usually underated (put out about 700w RMS to give 350w per sub). You can find them for about $275 or a little less.
MTX 801D would also be a good choice, about $260 shipped.
The Phoenix Gold OCTANE R8.0:1 would give full power to your subs. $245 shipped.
The Hifonics Brutus BX1000D would also work. $240 Shipped
