New member Username: Its_bacon12Post Number: 27 Registered: 12-2003 | i have a sub thats dual 2 ohm, can handle 1500w rms so im looking for something that will put out a decent amount of power either at 4 ohms or 1 ohms... the 1200.1 puts out 600wrms at 4 ohm and 1200w rms at 1 ohm the hifonics amp puts out 350w rms at 4 ohm and 1000w rms at 1` ohm....im pretty sure that the hifonics amp will definately be enough with a lightning audio 2 farad cap any input on this glasswolf or Derek I. theyre both around the same amount as far as price goes but is there much of a difference in SQ? thanks guys |

New member Username: GlasswolfPost Number: 350 Registered: 12-2003 | a capacitor won't help you. both of those amplifiers will draw over 100A of current at your suggested load. that's probably more than your alternator even produces. time to look at a high output alternator, and go with at least 4AWG cable for alternator, battery, and amplifier(s). as for which amp is better.. both are fine. that's up to you. check out the FAQ section here: http://pub14.ezboard.com/fcaraudiotalkfrm27 really handy info on stuff like that |
