I have a 93 Ford Explorer and i'm installing a Sony cd player. I skipped the purchase of a installation kit thinking I knew what I was getting into. Anyone know how to send power to my factory amps which ran through a cable with my speaker wires(I think)? The cable contains 8 speaker wires and a strand of loose wires wrapped in the cable lining. I have power to the stereo, just no sound. Other questionable wires are Mute and Panel Illumination. Any advice is appreciated.

My reason for posting the question is it's already too late, the wires have been cut.
