i have a kenwood 5volt pre out head unit.ihave the amp gain at 0 and the non fading out at 13 out of 15.is this ok or would it be better to have the non fading lower and the gain higher ? would it change the way the subs sound etc. thanks.
By setting the gain up it will change the sound of the subs alot. Put your amp gain about less than half way up and non-fadin at whatever sounds good, i imagine about 3 or 4. There is really no right and wrong, just set your system to the way YOU like its output. But make sure you dont turn up the gains all the way. About 3/4 is pushing it. You WILL blow the subs.
