I blew a fuse, its a 60 fuse, i bought another one, replaced it, then went to the trunk to hook up the ground to the chasse, then smoke starts comming from the amp when the ground is connected, can someone tell me why that is?

if you blew the fuse then it sounds like you amp was hooked up totally to begin with. Both positive and ground. You blew the fuse probably because you got the wires crossed. You should have disconnected the ground from the battery, replaced the fuse. Checked your connections, and reconnected the ground on the battery. You can still do all that, but I'll bet a $ to a donut the amp is now toast.

Yep. Hook up the ground first, then the positive cable. Ideally you'd have the positive cable disconnected from the battery, and the negative terminal disconnected from the batt. Looks like you fried your amp.
