Hello everyone,

I have in my car two amp, A kicker 1500.1 and a kicker 850.4, before 2 days ago I used to have a kicker 850.2 and the kicker 850.4. So, I just replaced the 850.2 for the 1500.1.

I didn't add anything else, same wired, same everything. But my problem is when I start the radio with engine off only battery, the 1500.1 goes on protection mode. But if I start the car engine the 1500.1 start like no problem.

I did a voltage test to the amp, while the engine is off, and my voltage is 12.7v, with engine on 14.3v.

I did all the test to verify what's going on. I plugged only the 1500.1 amp to the positive, ground and remote, not speakers or RCA, and it keeps doing the same.

Any idea??.

The test is positive an remote to positive line and ground to chassis.

I would recheck your ground to chassis bolting and your lines and battery. Also the final load from the subs to be withing the amp's spec.

Also you can't really run a 1500W RMS amp on stock electrical nicely.
