my kenwood stereo has settings to change the front , rear and subwoofer speaker settings? i wanted to know the best configuration / settings and levels i should aim for...as the bass is a bit distorted. i have tried searching online but i am not a very technical person. what would be the expected settings so the bass comes from the active sub in the back.. any settings i can try?

i have a kenwood 5025dab

and the active sub is a Pioneer TS-W710A another issue i have is when i connect the remote to the subwoofer it doesn't work even though power is coming through, once i detach the remote which connects independently to the subwoofer it comes back on, the only settings on the remote is the gain and the frequency

also are the adjustments i should make in the equaliser settings on the head unit?
