I'm running Focal 690 CVX Polyglass 6x9's in the rear deck of my Ford Focus. Mn question is should I have them in a sealed box or am I ok leaving them in the rear deck in open air? Also, how should I mount them for optimum sound quality? Thank You...

WOW!! those are probably the best 6x9s in existance!! All those speakers are designed to work in an infinite baffle setting like when you place them in the rear deck, if you place them in a sealed box you will lose bass heavily, only when you have overly powerful subs in you trunk is recommended to use enclosures or they will be pushed by the subs soundwaves which will show as distortion.

you just put them in the package shelf and leave them be. they are an IB design, so not meant for sealed or ported enclosures at all.
