Hi, I am new here, and was wondering if I could get some opinions. I have 2 12" wired to 1 ohm Alpine Type R's, what would be a decent amp to run these. My budget is questionable right now, so if I have some ideas I will go from there. Thanks

This one is as cheap as I will go:

Going cheaper does not make sense, I guess I could advice something of questionable quality for $30 or so less.

These are somewhat overrated so it will deliver just enough to top those subs on clean power.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I could probably go a little more, if you know of one of better quality. I have heard of Hifonics, but never heard one. Do you think that's a good match up for those subs?

Well next stop would be:

Arguably a little cleaner than the Hifonics. Both will do superbly with 2 type R's.

For power efficiency the Audioque AQ1200D although not everyone agrees that SQ is worthwhile on this amp.

Runs cold and go very easy on your electrical system.
