i need help picking tweeters my current set up will include SEAS Prestige P18RNX/P, Vifa NE123W, JBL MS-8, aa havoc 12 sealed, and either zapco dc 650.6 for the front stage with a c2k 6.0 for the sub or im going to throw it back and get ppi art amps.
already have: havoc got a good deal on it (175) got the ms8 threw work (455) a friend of mine is redoing his system so he has his old ppi waiting for me if i go that way
take a look at madisound.com for some good tweeters. 1" silk domes would be a good start, in my opinion, unless you wanted to go more esoteric and try some ribbons or something.
nope i love silk domes just dont know which to go with but usually im pleased i just dont like anything to harsh like aluminum, but how are ribbons i have never dealt with them what are the characteristics of a ribbon im not big on change
If you like silk domes, then stick with them. parts-express.com has a dayton (peerless) 1-1/8" silk dome on sale right now. It's the same silk dome I used to use in my old IASCA competition car. Great stuff. I used two in each of my doors, along with a 5" midrange. Did very nicely.
