I'd lean toward the AQ I think, given the choice, but what enclosure are you planning to use? Ported? If so, which options on the Q did you choose? For 1200 watts, I'd go with the "cooling" and "I heat ring" options. That'll push the Q's power handling to where you won't have any fear of damaging the sub if you drive it really hard, or accidentally clip the amp a bit without knowing it.
Thank you. I am also more familiar with AQ than with RD, but the specifications are pretty close. I was just wondering if there are any specific reasons why you would prefer the AQ (personal experience, etc.)
