Hi, I have been considering a Fi Q12 subwoofer for my car, but i havnt decided on an amp yet. So if you guys have any suggestions please let me know. I believe the sub is rated at 1000 watts rms, and I am willing to spend up to $450.

If you don't mind spending up to $450 I'd recommend a Sundown Amplifier. They make really good amps. A 1000D amp is here for $315 : http://www.powermaxelectronics.com/products/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=46&idcatego ry=10 If you want to save some dough the Aq1200D does very well and is $245 shipped. I'd recommend having a custom built enclosure if you're really looking to get the most out of your set up. The Q is a great woofer, so good choice. Other good amps to look into would be Fosgate or Alpine as well. Also if you plan to run the sub at 1 ohm, be sure to get the dual 2 ohm version.

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it. Just want to know if anyone has owned an AQ1200d before? Is it really 1ohm stable? And most of all, how does it sound? Is this the best value for money amp, or is the sundown worth the extra cash?
