Unknown boom

Brandon New member Username: Hondadriver22 Post Number: 3 Registered: Jun-04	Posted on Monday, June 28, 2004 - 04:26 GMT i got two alpine typeR 12s and an audiobahn mono amp powering them. for no reason at all when i turn on the power on my head unit(if it is off to begin with) or if i turn on the ignition(left on previously) the subs hit for no reason as soon as power reaches them(this noise has nothing to do with the music at all). my friends say this is no big deal but i think it is. what is the prob?

Some amps have a turn on and off noise and some dont. Ive had that problem before and had to turn my gains down or reground my amp and it went away.
