Please Help!

I have a 500 watt memphis monoblock class d amp with two premier DVC 2000 watt subs, all brand new i hooked it all up last night and when i turn my volume up and the bass start to hit hard the amp cuts in and out going into protect for about 3 seconds then cuts in and when bass is going to hit hard it does it again.

the load on the amp is too low.
if the subs are DVC, and you have them wired in straight parallel, coils and subs, you have a 1 ohm load.
I'm surprised the amp works at all with that.

you need two single coil 4 ohm subs, or two 2+2ohm DVC models..
or one 4+4ohm DVC sub.
otherwise at best you'll get a 4 ohm load with coils in series, subs in parallel on the amp, and if the amp delivers 500w x 1 @ 2 ohms, each sub is going to get a clean 125 watts.

Wow, thats so hard to understand, i am not skilled in this subject at all, so do i need to get a new amp. Or can i hook it up another way?

you can wire the subs at 4 ohms, but you'll get less power from the amp than you would if you have the right amp for the job.
you can stick with less power, or get new subs or a new amp.
