I also have alpine CDA-9827 ( http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=204&1=207&3=1801 ) what is the best amp i can get under 300 bucks to run the subs??? I'm just getting into Car Audio and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 3506 Registered: Dec-03 | ok, wire coils in series. wire amps in parallel to a mono amp that's a 2 ohm load. look at a Kicker KX600.1 or JBL BP600.1 both are in your price range, and will deliver the full 300 watts per sub. the Kicker is the better of the two. Also the more pricey. |

Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 3527 Registered: Dec-03 | no, use a mono amp as I mentioned above. if you use a stereo amp, you'd wire the sub coils in series for a 4 ohm load (parallel would give 1 ohm each which is too low) and you'd only get power output @ 4 ohms stereo with a mono amp, you'll get the full 2 ohm rated power. find a good mono 600 watt amp |
