I tried bridging it and my amp cuts out

I am useing an sony xm-504z 4 channel amp and have two 12'' sony xplod 1000 peak subs...
x-plod subs.. in the instructions it says it can be used as an
bridging amp but when I hook the speakers up it works great for a
minute or two then the amp cuts out.. why cant i bridge it with out it
cutting out ..? oh yeah it's a 500 watt amp too I don't know what I'm doing wrong that
it cuts out am i short curicting the speakers and if so how am i doing
it ...

so you have each sub bridged. Im guessing you have channels 1-2 bridged and 3-4 bridged. Maybe trying turning your gains down.

are the subs 4 ohms?
if you place a two ohm load on most bridged amps, they'll go into thermal protection.

sony amps are notorious for not handling low impedances well anyway.. cheap amps. poorly designed and poorly built
