i wouldnt buy any of those - they are all budget brands that do not do rated power

look into the AQ1200 - $229 shipped

great price, does rated power, great customer service

cant beat that

Is this an AQ sponsored website? Cuz 70% of the time AQ1200 is suggested. lol. Either that, or AQ is really as good as people say.

or the ed nine.1

http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_22&products_id=44

i think sundown and RD both have amps around 1000 RMS at good prices too

i would get in touch with:

AQ
ED
RD
Sundown

you cant go wrong with any of them - i would just go with the cheapest price

Thank you Daniel, those suggestions helped...I know AQ and RD but its the first time I looked up ED...they look good and the amp I need is only $195 vs the AQ1200 which runs at $230...saving me money. The NINe.1 is a good amp I take it? Thanx guys!

yeah, they seem to rate them right and keep the temp pretty cool. dont need a cap for these amps. I only need 1000w anyways. And @ 12 volts thats very powerful, cuz my system runs at 14.7 at the moment. ^_^ Most amps take 16v to get up to 1200w sadly. I like the NINe.1 now. Thanks Daniel.

no problem - the eD amp is good quality - just not very efficient

eD nine.1 is 64% @ 4 ohms i assume
aq is 84% @ 4 ohms
rd 1000.1 is 86% @ 4 ohms
sundown saz1000 is 86% @ 4 ohms

1200x.64 = 768...I need 800w @ 1ohm...I think It'll do what I need. I found some pretty good reviews on the NINe.1 including an actual test which shows over 1100wrms at 12v. So I guess everyone has their opinions...but for the $195 price tag...thats my ceiling and I think Ill be happy with what I get in that amp. Hopefully. ^_^

I heard that's a pre-sale price for the new ED nine.1 and ETA would be like 2-3 months.

it is presale, but they usually can get it to you within the week...sometimes next day...but we all know how random shipping can be. And yes, you do get what you pay for.
