Ok i just bought 2 re audio xxx 12 inch subs, and 2 us amps md1d amps. The subs are 2000rms 4000 watts max each and the amps are 1200 rms at 1 ohm and 3600 max each. I was told i need to run 2 to 4 alternators that are 300amps the highest they make i think that i need at least 575 amps to run this system. He said if not my subs and amps can be damaged and my car can blow up. And he also said that i need a crap load of batteries for every 1000watts i need an extra battery, and i need to have a bunch of crap for the engine like custom brackets for all this crap and its about 4,000 bucks. Someone help me out here. Right now i drive an 03 chevy cavalier with a stock 105 alternator i know i need to upgrade but seriously is this guy just screwing me?
