my buddy recently purchased a legacy predator 2400 watt to push his 2 15" kicker cvr 4 ohm subs. it sounds descent but after 5 10 mins of playing the amp is hot enough to burn you
because it's car audio and the regulations on power advertisements are VERY loose.
Two good rules to keep in mind. 1) Max power ratings are MEANINGLESS. Marketing departments seem to pull them randomly out of a hat. 2) If the price tag seems too good to be true it almost always is.
