I have an american pro 2000 watt amp. can't complain I have a 2006 chevy silverado crew cab. bought these two subs in an enclosure under the seat and the amp for 200.00. the amp is crap will only work in bridged 4ohm load not much on wattage probably 250 rms. I need a good amp on a budget that will push these subs. either a dual channel at 2 ohm load per sub or a mono 1 ohm stable that will not kill my truck. any help would be appreciated.

I would go with a mono class d amp.(more efficient)

Whats your budget?

What is your budget for the amplifier?
You will want around 800w at 1 or 4 ohms for those subs. A hifonics 1208d would be a good budget amp. It will do around 800-900w at 1 ohm(they are overrated).

Hifonics Brutus amps are known to do around %80 of rated power.

Not sure about the Infinity.

Do you plan on upgading in the future?

AudioQue AQ1200D is 1200RMSx1 at 1ohm for $249 shipped.(it does what it says)

The infinity amp wont work, it is not 1 ohm stable and there is not enough power at 4 ohms. The subs are rated at 400wrms each, try to give them around that. The AQ1200D would be nice too, you can set the gain lower and give yourself some headroom for when you upgrade.

i have the same exact subs as u and i have them on a hifonics brutus 1210d. And im pushing 2 ohm load, it bangs pretty hard. I ordered it off ebay for 200 including shipping. It'll definately rock your truck.

im pretty sure im either going with the audioque 1200d or the ed nine.1 not sure if i will have the extra money yet for the ed nine.1 but will keep everyone posted when i get one. I think either one will do a nice job. I just do not know much about hifonics. my local shop tried to sell my an audiopipe, lanzar, boss outlaw and a kohl(i think that was right) but i turned that down so far not much on these amps. anyone heard of these
