I need an amp to power 2 Polk 5x7 speakers. They need 60 watts each @ 4 ohms. The two amps I'm considering are the Orion CO600.s and the MB Quart PAB2100. Both can put out 100w x2 @ 4 Ohms. Which would give me the best sound quality?

Out of those two,I would get the MB Quart PAB2100

But I would go Kicker over those.

Is there any particular reason you prefer Kicker? I notice that amp has a Signal-to-Noise ratio of 95 dB, which is the same as the MB Quart PAB 2100. That would suggest they both have about equal sound quality. I was just wondering why you prefer Kicker.

MB quart is made by maxxsonics which is not known for making very good amplifiers.

Orion is made by directed which is known for making good stuff all around.

orion > MB quart

Thanks for the input M.S. Do you have any suggestions for a relatively cheap amp that will give me decent sound quality? I'm looking to get one for about $100 on eBay. I need 60w x2 @ 4 ohms, so I'm aiming for an amp rated for about 80-100W x2 @ 4 ohms.

Not completely accurate but that will point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the list, that's just what I was looking for.

I ended up getting an Infinity Reference 475A instead. It's rated for 75W x 4 @ 4 Ohms. The Signal-to-Noise ratio is 85 dB so I'm hoping it will have some good sound quality.
