JL does not have an 1800 watt amplifier.

Pretty sure 1000.1 is the largest one.

You mean this one

That is a 800w RMS amp. It is 2 ohm stable so those subs will not work with it.

Bcuz if you wire them in parallel, u have a 1 ohm load and if you wire them in series you have a 4 ohm load.

get two 4 ohm subs and wire them in parallel and your system will work.

1 dual 4 ohm sub will wire to either 2 ohms or 8 ohms

2 dual 4 ohm subs will wire to either 1 ohm or 4 ohms

see the link below:
http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42

the amp is only stable down to 2 ohms so you would have to wire it to 4 ohms - that amplifier at 4 ohms is not enough power for those subs

look into an AQ1200D - $249 shipped

i have 2 12" w6v2 d4's jl audio subs and in the wiring diagram that came with them it shows me how to wire them parallel wich will drop them to 2 ohms or series wich will bring them to 8ohms each but thats if i was to wire just one of them. i have a jl audio 1800 watt amp and tried to hook them up parallel but it cutts out so i had to wire them series wich i think is at 8ohms . i was wondering since they are d4's if i could wire them them to 4 ohms?

those are your options - go with option 2 and wire to 4 ohms

i would sell the amp if possible and get something you can wire to 1 ohm

i would recommend the AQ1200D for the amp

it does 1200 RMS into 1 ohm - you would then use wiring option 1

I think the AQ would be a good fit because it is brand new, has warranty, and i have read nothing but good things about their customer service.

all of that for $249 shipped is tough to beat
