Good link but all he needed was this passage from it to be considered brief.



"the "Big Three" upgrade means improving the current capacity of three cables: 1) alternator positive to battery positive, 2) battery negative to chassis, and 3) engine ground to chassis. "

just thought the link would help - i have asked for a brief explanation of the big 3 before and was completely confused

i needed something like this

say ur running two batts, one upfront one in back, can do a wire neg to neg instead of chassis ground for 2nd batt? also when hook neg up to amp from 2nd batt do you need a fuse or just one on the pos?
