Hey, I just got a Ford Mustang '94, and it came with a 2400 watt peak, 1000 rms sub and a 0 gauge amp kit but no amp. It does have a new stereo deck. I am looking for a new amp, probably around 1600 watt peak. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips? What brand, Monoblock or multi-channel bridgeable? I'm basically a noob at this so some help would be appreciated. Some ones I'm looking at are http://www.gooddeals18.com/product/PLA2550 http://qualitycaraudio.com/store/viewitem.asp?idproduct=21356

Haha. And I forgot to ask, if the sub is a 1 ohm sub, will a 2 ohm amp work?

To put it bluntly, all of those are complete junk and will do nowhere near claimed power. And if the sub single 1 ohm coil you need a one ohm amp. If dual 1 ohm then you need a 2 ohm amp.

Audioque 1200d is perfect for your application.

Ya, its a single coil. How much will the Audioque 1200d run me?

Any one know about Ultra Linear amps?
They look ok but I can't find a 1 ohm one.

Crap....

you will not beat that AQ for the price.

And peak watts mean nothing BTW. RMS is what matters.
