New member Username: Guccimane407Orlando, Fl Usa Post Number: 1 Registered: Jan-09 | im currently driving a 1991 buck lesabre custom v6 3800 i changed my stock battery to a yellow top optima and i ran a 4GA power wire to the trunk through the unibody frame two 15" solobarics with a total of 2000w RMS @ 1ohm is the Autotek MM 4000.1D a good amp to run those 3 subs sufficiently? will this amp actually run 4000w RMS @ 1ohm or is that a lie? because the kicker zx2500.1 is $800 why would i buy that if this is better for less if the stats are true the reason im wanting such a large amp is so ill never need another amp again =D |

Post Number: 2283 Registered: May-07 | soo many things need to be addressed here... 1st off for ANY amp that produces that kind of power, you will need to run o/1 gauge power and ground wire. You will also need to upgrage the big 3. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~73496~PN~1 to run the MM4000.1 you will need a h.o.alt. Mechman or ohio gen is what i prefer. What Model are the subs, L5 or L7? and i assume they are dual 4 ohm, right? the zx2500 is 2 ohm stable.. look into the AQ2200D for the amp. $389 shipped from factory. www.audioque.com do u already have the subs? |

New member Username: Guccimane407Orlando, Fl Usa Post Number: 2 Registered: Jan-09 | i know i will have to upgrade the big 3 where would i go to find a custom alternator for my vehicle.. autopart stores dont carry larger alternators so i have no clue where to get one as for the subwoofers i have not gotten any yet as im still con fused as to what i want to do... i want a system that will drop inside of the car and i mean DROP like make my brain want to explode... but then not be too loud outside so im thinking about getting Two or 2 15" kicker solobarics and wire them down to 1 ohm or less but then again i might sell this car and get a 1980's caprice classic |
