I´m working on a project where i´m going to need to run a video projector on a car while driving. I have no idea from where to start.
I have read about extra batterys and so on.If this is he way, where and how?
The input voltage of the video projector is 100 V AC to 240 V AC.
What i need to do? i will appreciate any help.
thanks

Thanks Chad, would the power inverter allow me to use the projector wile the car is on the road and do you know if I would need an extra battery or if otherwise is ok with the one that is already in the car?

i really don't know how much that projector will draw. with that said, you should get a powerful inverter so you are covered.

also having a second battery will help. but since your car will be running i really don't think another battery will be necessary. try it out first without the second battery first.

may i ask what you are planning on doing with a projector while the car is running?

No extra batteries needed if the car will be running.

Thats what you need. You will also need to run power wire to it from the battery (and fuse it of course). That size inverter is too big to connect to a cig lighter or other curcuit.

What on Earth are you doing with a projector on the road while driving lol? Must be a secret. Anyways you do realize at the minimum you won't EVER get any decent picture quality doing this right? Projectors are INSANELY sensitive to vibration and driving even on a smooth road produces it. What is your projection surface going to be? At night or day? At what distance? Will everyone be drinking lol?

That's all for now.

Thanks everybody.

i hope do you think this is an answer?

I´m trying to aproach the cinematic aspects of driving or riding a car.

M.S What do you mean with... (and fuse it of course)? I guess it's obvious but you just confused me.

Paul, the vibrations are not really a problem. I guess it will add something to the image, I don't need a superquality image... but yes! I have to find the way to make a good bed for the proyector. Do you have any idea?
will be fire over all kind of surfaces, at Night, at Variable distances.

It was more easier that i thought

Thanks again
